I was browsing blogs a second ago. One of the many I follow is called Writing on the Wall. It's a blog for weirdos like me who love writing.
So here I was, sitting, reading this post by Julie Wright ha ha, I typed out 'write' before correcting it to 'wright' which was this super inspirational post about how being a writer is not just what you do, it's who you are.
And in the middle of my reading, without any warning at all, the computer logs off. All by itself. Just turns off. Then turns back on.
Weird.
For a second, only a second mind you, I thought... does this really mean I'm not supposed to be a writer? I mean, seriously! The computer just blanked! Could it be a sign? OMGosh! What does it meeeeaaaan? if any of you have seen the video of the crazy double rainbow guy on youtube, you'll get that joke. If you haven't you gotta see it. Ridiculously psychotically hilarious.
Answer:
I say again: heck freaking no.
I AM a writer. A few months of morning sickness, hormones, and self-esteem issues isn't going to change that. Turning my heart to my new full-time job of being a mother isn't going to change that. Writer's block, even this sticky, hairy, monstrously ugly, crud-stuck-in-the-shower-drain kind of creative constipation isn't going to change it either.
I'm still me. I'm still going to be a Mom and a wife, first and foremost. But the great thing about womanhood is that there is never an end to the many hats we can wear.
And the writer hat isn't ever coming off.
So as soon as the Man gets his own laptop from the dental school and I get mine back for good...
Guess what, people. Hero London is back.
P.S. Hero London is my pen name for those of you who don't know, which is probably about 97% of you.

Preach it! Of course it isn't an omen. Just a weird writing utensil with a little bit of a mind of its own. And Hero London is an awesome name!
THere is a love-hate relationship with some of my hats....but I must say I am still glad there are so many to wear
Nice new layout! The only thing I like to write is my blog! You go for it girl some day you'll make it big and I can say, "Hey I follow that author's blog!"
My favorite author is BACK!!!
<3 your #1 fan!
You can do it!! (I think I've had writer's block for over a year). The English degree has beat the creativity out of me, haha!
Always remember you can be a mom and still keep your dreams alive. You can have it all...sometimes not all at once...but you can have it all. Best of luck!
