Finished!!! At last

It took me months to get this 5'x4' baby finished. When my friend and co-worker who had hired me to do this painting said she changed her mind about having lettering across the top, I could have clicked my heels.

It's hard to see, but Belle is sitting on a wooden stool. Not in mid-air.

Turned out quite lovely, if I do say so myself. Now I just need to make some business cards. If you're interested in a painting, let me know! Prices vary according to painting size and detail and if you provide a canvas.
Sorry, no murals right now! My pregginess makes it too difficult, so murals are put on hold until next year.

Mouth on fire

The Man made salsa.

He wanted me to try it.

I politely said no thank you.

Salsa is icky to me right now.

He left the jalapeno seeds in it.

His mouth is on fire.

Thanks for making salsa, honey.

It looked pretty.

I deserve no bragging rights

The Man does all the gardening. I don't have much of a taste for it. I like the taste of what comes out of it though!! Here's some of the cool stuff he's been growing.

Squash. TONS of it. Way more than we can possibly eat on our own.

Here's the Man standing next to our corn. Yeah, it's tall, but it's in a garden box about a foot and a half off the ground. But it's still producing some great corn on the cob!!

Here's one of the little cobs I got to cook up because I was craving some corn. It was VERY sweet and yummy-- I didn't even have to put butter on it!

Here's another shot. You can see the zucchini in the front.

And again, my husband working diligently to make sure some of the plants get a little shade from our heckish sun.

He's quite the gardener! Loving the fresh veggies, hon!
As soon as I'm feeling better, I'm making SALSA!!!

Tired

tired of being hungry but having no appetite.
tired of not liking chips and salsa.
tired of crackers and more crackers.
tired of dinner-time ickiness that prevents me from cooking a decent meal.
tired of my sense of smell.
tired of bosses who keep telling stories about pregnant pioneer women who toiled across the plains and NEVER had to stop every half hour for a snack break.
tired of that nasty taste in my mouth that I can't seem to get rid of.
tired of gagging on the stench of fresh-cooked meat.
tired of being tired.

But baby, you're worth it. ;)
plus I got a looooooooooong way to go.

10 down... 30 to go.

Weeks, that is.
Remember several weeks ago when I was all T.O'd at the world and ready to rip someone's head off and crampy and stuff?
heh heh. It wasn't PMS.

I'm PREGNANT!!! Ta-da!

Here's our widdle sweet pea. I got to see the heart beat today. It was AMAZING!!!!

After such a long time of trying, we are ecstatic. Still praying and crossing our fingers that all stays well and he or she remains healthy and strong.
This we know: PRAYER WORKS!

So now that I'm icky, pukey, yucky, getting fatter, and exhausted, I am also so very, very happy and I feel incredibly blessed.

We're thinking Minerva if it's a girl. Archimedes if it's a boy. snort

Half-days

I only work till eleven today.
then I get to have my teeth cleaned.
For those of you who don't know, I LOVE getting my teeth cleaned.
It's like getting a pedi.
For my teeth.
And I get to lay there
and do nothing.
While my awesome hygienist friend and co-worker
does all the work.
I don't even have to clean anything up!
Ah... bliss!
Can't wait for the flouride treatment.
